FREE MISC. LESSON - “Checklist for Effective Grouping Practices During Instruction”

by The Teaching Files
Pre-Kindergarten - 12th Grade

Effective grouping practices are something that teachers at all grade levels need to think about. This checklist is designed to be a quick check for the teacher to use in forming groups to know that the most important practices of effective grouping have been incorporated into cooperative learning or a group activity..

This 5 page packet includes the cover page, an information page for the teacher, a checklist with room provided for comments about how a strategy worked and what you would do differently next time, and 2 pages of definitions and explanations for the checklist items.

It is important to reflect on the success of your group activity. It is the reflection process that helps us be better teachers. A good reflection process is to ask yourself what went right, what went wrong, and hat you would do differently the next time you use this group activity.
