FREE MATH LESSON - “Free Dry Erase Addition Mats”

by Lee Ann Hall
Pre-Kindergarten - Kindergarten

Free addition mats to use with dry erase markers and manipulatives. This is great practice for independent work, centers, or math tubs.

Numbers 0 - 19

Color and black and white options.

To prepare: Print out the mat you prefer and the set of cards. Laminate them and cut them out. Gather enough dry erase markers, erasers (or whatever you use for erasers), and counters for your group.

To use:
Students draw one card from the stack. They record the number on the line below the first circle. Then they place the appropriate number of counters in the first circle. Then the students draw again. They write the second number below the second circle. They place the correct number of counters inside the second circle. Next they count up all of the counters in both circles. Finally, they write the answer on the line to the right of the equal sign. Students erase their mats and repeat the steps above.

You can also print off two sets of cards to allow students to practice doubles as well.
